Beomeosa Seongbo Museum Hosts the "1st Global Busan Calligraphy and Painting Artists Association Exhibition"

Beomeosa Seongbo Museum held the "1st Global Busan Calligraphy and Painting Artists Association Exhibition" for three days from September 12 to 14, 2025.

The exhibition featured more than 60 calligraphy and painting works by 41 artists, along with three special encouragement pieces.

The exhibition encompassed both tradition and modernity, as well as local and global perspectives, showcasing the philosophical meaning and artistic value of calligraphy and painting. It was an opportunity to reaffirm that these are not merely visual arts, but cultural heritages that embody the spirit of life.

Venerable Sanhae Jeongo, Chief Monk of Geumjeong Chongnim Beomeosa and Director of Seongbo Museum, said, "I hope that today's gathering will spread a pure fragrance in the world like a lotus flower, and that the message of peace and coexistence through culture and art will continue to expand."

Through this exhibition, Beomeosa Seongbo Museum highlighted both the beauty and contemporary potential of Korean calligraphy and painting. The Global Busan Calligraphy and Painting Artists Association plans to continue its exchanges and creative activities, serving as a bridge that connects tradition and the world through art.

Seongbo Museum will host the family cultural festival "Beomeosa Yadanbeopseok" in the outdoor garden from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on September 20. Various programs will be offered, including traditional games, photo zones, food trucks, community art, and performances. This event was selected as part of the Busan Metropolitan City's private museum support project.
