Shinhan Life Delivers Support Packages to Elderly Living Alone for Chuseok

Shinhan Life announced on September 15 that, ahead of the Chuseok holiday, its employees delivered support packages to elderly people living alone as part of a volunteer initiative to share warmth with those without family.

On September 12, around 40 Shinhan Life employees participated in a volunteer activity to deliver food kits filled with warmth to 350 elderly people across the country for Chuseok. The kits, packed by the employees themselves, included 18 different items such as galbitang and samgyetang-nutritious meals that can be easily enjoyed during the holiday-as well as various side dishes, snacks, and health foods.

Since 2011, Shinhan Life has been regularly conducting the "Love-Connecting Call" program, making phone calls to check in on elderly people living alone. The company has consistently carried out volunteer activities to ensure that these seniors do not feel isolated and can stay healthy during the holidays.

A Shinhan Life representative stated, "This Chuseok, our employees participated in volunteer activities to deliver heartfelt care and warm wishes to elderly people living alone. We will continue to spread the value of sharing so that our helping hands can reach every corner of society where support is needed."
