Yangju City in Gyeonggi Province announced on September 15 that the 'Yangju Gwanaoji Night Stroll' event, held at Yangju Gwanaoji on September 13, concluded successfully with enthusiastic participation from around 1,500 citizens.
This event kicked off at 5 p.m. with a variety of engaging programs. Activities such as creating your own miniature succulent garden, making fusion rice cake macarons, assembling a three-dimensional Yangju Gwanaoji puzzle, and experiencing scratch paper art attracted people of all ages, filling the venue with crowds.
In particular, scenic lighting installations set up in anticipation of the upcoming Yangju National Heritage Night Walk this weekend added to the festive atmosphere, making the venue bustling with visitors.
During the pre-show, singer Mella’s sweet voice captivated the audience, delivering a gentle resonance. The main performance featured the Korean traditional music ensemble Obitnarae, who connected with the audience through a stage that blended tradition and modernity. Additionally, performances by Joseon Magician Namu, Korea’s only magician specializing in rare animals, such as a balloon show, bubble show, and shadow show, thrilled the crowd with excitement and wonder.
A Yangju City official said, "The Yangju Gwanaoji Night Stroll is establishing itself as a signature cultural festival that citizens can enjoy together. From September 19 (Friday) to September 21 (Sunday), the Yangju National Heritage Night Walk will offer citizens a venue illuminated with lights, rich cultural performances, and a variety of hands-on programs. We invite everyone to join this special journey where you can experience the history and culture of Yangju on a deepening autumn night."
