Changnyeong County Youth Center Runs Historical Experience Program to Mark 80th Anniversary of Liberation

Experiencing the Spirit of the Anti-Japanese Independence Movement
Reflecting on Historical Significance

The Changnyeong County Youth Center in South Gyeongsang Province announced on the 15th that it operated a one-night, two-day historical experience program for 30 youths in the Changnyeong area.


This event was organized to commemorate the 80th anniversary of Liberation, allowing participants to experience the spirit of the anti-Japanese independence movement and to reflect on its historical significance.

The participating youths began their journey at Yeongsan Patriotism Park, then visited the Independence Hall of Korea, Seodaemun Prison History Hall, and the Provisional Government of the Republic of Korea Memorial Hall. Through these visits, they learned in depth about the sacrifices of the nation's martyrs and the activities of the Provisional Government. They also had time to share their thoughts through presentations.


Director Lee Jaekyu stated, "This experience became an opportunity for the youths to properly recognize the history of their region and country and to inherit the spirit of patriotism." He added, "We will continue to promote various field-oriented programs so that youths can vividly learn about our history."
