LetsRun Park Busan Gyeongnam Unveils "Lucky Horseshoe Path" for 20th Anniversary

Transformed into the Lucky Horseshoe Path

Korea Racing Authority's LetsRun Park Busan Gyeongnam (headed by Um Youngseok) has created a commemorative space called the "Lucky Horseshoe Path" to mark its 20th anniversary, utilizing the horseshoes of its most iconic racehorses.

The commemorative ceremony will be held at 12:20 p.m. on September 19 at the Derby Square of LetsRun Park Busan Gyeongnam.

A horseshoe, which protects a horse's hoof, is often referred to as a "horse's shoe." Traditionally, a front hoof horseshoe is considered a symbol of good luck, while a rear hoof horseshoe is believed to ward off misfortune.

The "Lucky Horseshoe Path," inspired by handprinting at BIFF Square, features actual horseshoes from representative racehorses engraved onto copper plates. This installation was created to express gratitude to the fans who have supported Busan Gyeongnam for 20 years and to share the victorious spirit of champion horses.

In particular, 10 out of 18 representative horses that have brought glory to Busan Gyeongnam were selected. The selection criteria included winning records, annual representation, prize money earned, and each horse's unique story. Horseshoes from "Luna," who overcame lameness to become a legendary horse, and "Mr. Park," who holds the record for the most consecutive wins, are also included and are expected to deeply resonate with fans.

A LetsRun Park official stated, "Each horseshoe contains the history and legends of Busan Gyeongnam horse racing," adding, "It will become a landmark that offers visitors a unique and enjoyable experience."

The 20th anniversary celebrations will continue, starting with the creation of the "Lucky Horseshoe Path." On September 20-21, the "Neighborhood BIFF LetsRun Park: Empty the Racetrack" event will take place, followed by the "LetsRun! Lucky Horse PARTY" on September 27-28, further enhancing the festive atmosphere.

Um Youngseok, head of the park, said, "As we have created a symbolic space to connect with our customers, I hope many people will come and feel the luck of our representative racehorses up close. We will continue to do our best to provide special experiences in the future."
