Jin Air's popular Incheon-Nagoya route has celebrated its second anniversary.
On September 15, Jin Air announced that since the inaugural flight of the Incheon-Nagoya route on September 15, 2023, the airline has transported over 500,000 cumulative passengers on this route over approximately two years, through the end of July this year.
Currently, the Incheon-Nagoya route operates twice daily, supported by steady demand. Flights depart from Incheon International Airport (Terminal 2) at 7:30 a.m. and 4:05 p.m. each day. Departures from Nagoya Airport are scheduled for 10:40 a.m. and 7:15 p.m. daily.
Passenger statistics for this route show that, during the same period, Japanese nationals accounted for more than 50% of total cumulative passengers. Jin Air explained that this is the result of a combination of factors, including the recovery of travel demand following the COVID-19 pandemic, the K-pop boom, and local inbound marketing efforts.
In addition, Jin Air's Busan-Nagoya route celebrated its first anniversary on September 14. This route has successfully established itself in the market with a high load factor. Flights depart from Gimhae Airport at 8:40 a.m. daily, and from Nagoya at 11:10 a.m. local time.
A Jin Air representative stated, "We hope to introduce the diverse charms of Nagoya to Korean travelers, while Japanese locals can also enjoy various aspects of Korean culture, further expanding opportunities for exchange. Moving forward, we will actively explore new routes and strengthen the competitiveness of our existing routes to keep pace with these trends."
