'H.E.L.F. (Hugel Expert Leader's Forum)', now in its 13th year, is Hugel's flagship global academic symposium where medical professionals in the field of cosmetic surgery from around the world share the latest insights and procedural techniques.
'H.E.L.F. in Seoul 2025' was held under the theme 'K-Beauty Redefined: Beyond the Ideal', with more than 220 domestic and international healthcare professionals (HCPs) in attendance. Notably, the event set a new record for the highest number of participating countries at a single Hugel event, with representatives from over 25 countries across Asia, Europe, the Middle East, North America, and Central and South America.
The forum consisted of 10 lectures and discussions across three sessions. Leading key opinion leaders (KOLs) in the field of medical aesthetics both in Korea and abroad participated as speakers, presenting a diverse program covering all areas of treatment, including botulinum toxin, hyaluronic acid fillers, and absorbable sutures.
The first session, 'K-Beauty Waves: Redefining Beauty Standards with Personalized Aesthetics', featured presentations by Director Lee Kyuho (U&I Clinic Mokdong Branch), Dr. Konstantin Frank (University of Regensburg), and Director Park Hyunjung (Samsung White Dermatology Clinic), who discussed treatment methods tailored to global beauty standards and strategies for customizing K-Beauty for the international market.
In the second session, 'Sculpting with Precision: A Comprehensive Approach to Facial Contouring', Dr. Erik Koppert (DR. ERIK KOPPERT), Director Jung Woonkyung (U&Jung Dermatology), Director Hong Kiwoong (Sam Skin Plastic Surgery), and Director Choi Hanmoe (ByMe Plastic Surgery) delivered lectures on various procedural techniques for achieving balanced facial contours.
The third session focused on Hugel's botulinum toxin product 'Botulax', which marks its 15th anniversary in Korea this year. Under the theme 'Spectrum of Possibilities: A Multi-faceted Approach to the Future of Aesthetics', Director Lee Haejin (Yonsei A&B Dermatology), Dr. Ayaka Nishikawa (Shonan Beauty Clinic), and Director Choi Hosung (Piona Clinic) shared the latest clinical cases and strategic procedural methods utilizing botulinum toxin.
The final comprehensive discussion, with all speakers participating as panelists and moderated by Director Hong Kiwoong, delved deeply into the philosophy of K-Aesthetics, which emphasizes personalized treatments and natural results, as well as the potential for global market expansion.
