'Accelerating Global K-Fish Cake Expansion'... Samjin Fish Cake Opens Second Store in Sydney, Australia

K-fish cake brand Samjin Fish Cake, led by CEO Park Yongjun, has opened its second store in Sydney, Australia, accelerating its expansion into the global market.

Following the launch of its first Australian store at Lidcombe Shopping Centre last year, Samjin Fish Cake recently opened its second location at the Asian supermarket "KMALL09" in the Bankstown area of western Sydney. KMALL09, with a size of approximately 2,000 square meters, is one of the largest Asian supermarkets in Australia.

'Accelerating Global K-Fish Cake Expansion'... Samjin Fish Cake Opens Second Store in Sydney, Australia Samjin Fish Cake Australia Store No. 2.

A representative from Samjin Fish Cake stated, "The successful establishment of our first store attracted not only the local Korean community but also a diverse multicultural customer base, and this achievement led to the opening of our second store. Australia is a multicultural country and a market where demand for K-food continues to grow, so we plan to develop it as a strategic hub."

The second store offers more than 40 popular varieties of fish cake. Among these, about 20 types are cooked fresh in-store, allowing local consumers to enjoy the unique taste of freshly fried fish cake. Signature menu items include: handmade "Fish Cake Croquette" filled with potato, cheese, shrimp, and more; the convenient snack "Eotteok Eotteok Bar" made with sausage and rice cake; and traditional Korean "Mul Eomuk" (fish cake soup).

Notably, the store features the latest "smart showcase" and "steam showcase" equipment. Lighting warmers that maintain a constant temperature and high-temperature sterilizing steam spray functions help keep the fish cakes moist and soft for extended periods.

Park Yongjun, CEO of Samjin Fish Cake, commented, "This will serve as an important bridge to introduce the taste and culture of traditional Korean fish cake to Australian consumers. We will continue to promote the global expansion of K-fish cake through active overseas ventures."

Last year, Samjin Fish Cake received the Minister of SMEs and Startups Award at the "Korea 100-Year Enterprise" event hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups. The company has also maintained its strong brand presence by ranking first for five consecutive years in the processed seafood category of the "Korea Brand Power Index (K-BPI)" and being named the top brand in the fish cake category at the "2025 Brand Customer Loyalty Awards."
