LG Electronics has expanded its wireless earphone lineup with the launch of the XBOOM Buds series. The company aims to cater to a wide range of customer preferences, offering everything from premium models to value-oriented options that focus on core features.

On September 15, LG Electronics announced that it has segmented the features and pricing of the XBOOM Buds lineup and released new Plus and Lite models. According to the company, this move strengthens the lineup of the Buds, which were selected as an excellent value-for-money product in the "Wireless Earphone Purchase and Selection Guide" published by the Korea Consumer Agency. With this, the lineup now consists of three models: the "XBOOM Buds," which have gained popularity for delivering premium performance at a price point in the 100,000 won range; the "XBOOM Buds Plus," which enhance premium sound and connectivity; and the "XBOOM Buds Lite," which offer XBOOM’s signature sound and convenience at a more affordable price.

The new models retain the strengths of the Buds introduced in January this year, while expanding choices to suit customer preferences. They feature advanced graphene driver units and professional sound tuning by world-renowned musician will.i.am. Even the value-oriented models deliver high-resolution audio and rich bass.

First, the XBOOM Buds Plus is equipped with an Adaptive Equalizer that automatically optimizes sound quality according to the shape of the user’s ear and how the earbuds are worn. It also features Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) to more effectively reduce external noise. Users can enjoy optimal performance through an ANC fit test in the dedicated app.

The charging case supports the "Plug & Wireless" function, enabling wireless connections to devices that do not support Bluetooth, such as airplane seat monitors or treadmills. By connecting the charging case to these devices with the included cable and activating the Plug & Wireless feature in the app, users can transmit audio wirelessly.

Additionally, the UVnano sterilization function eliminates 99.9% of specific harmful bacteria on the ear gel surfaces.

Although the XBOOM Buds Lite is an entry model with a factory price under 100,000 won, it still delivers XBOOM’s signature high-quality audio experience. It supports mild ANC suitable for indoor environments and offers four preset EQ modes (Standard, Bass Boost, Voice Enhance, Immersive) as well as two custom EQ settings, allowing users to fine-tune their sound preferences.

It also supports multipoint connectivity, enabling simultaneous connections to various devices such as smartphones, laptops, and TVs. With up to 35 hours of battery life and IPX4 water resistance, it offers convenient everyday use.
