The total project cost is approximately 32.5 billion KRW (including an estimated 1.1 billion KRW for design fees). The Yangju Community Center is expected to serve not only as a welfare facility but also as a hub that improves the quality of life for residents and revitalizes the local community.

Applications to participate in the design competition can be submitted exclusively through the official competition website on August 25, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Submissions of design proposals will be accepted on October 1.

Judging will take place on Monday, October 20, conducted by the "Yangju Community Center Design Competition Jury Committee," which consists of university professors and experts in architecture and related fields.

The winning entry will be granted the preferential negotiation rights for the basic and detailed design contracts for the project. In addition, according to Article 21 of the Architectural Design Competition Operation Guidelines, the cost of preparing proposals will be compensated for the awardees.

The design service period is nine months from the commencement date. The goal is to complete the basic and detailed designs by 2026, begin construction in 2026, and complete the project by 2028.

An official from Yangju City stated, "The Yangju Community Center will respond proactively to the rapidly changing urban environment and growing population, meeting the welfare needs of residents and establishing itself as an open welfare space that encompasses all generations and social classes. We look forward to creative and practical proposals from talented architects."
