The Presidential Office will publicly recruit a total of three positions: one Secretary for Public Conflict Mediation and two administrative officers under its jurisdiction.

On August 22, Seonghwan Jeon, Senior Officer for Integrated Listening at the Presidential Office, explained during a briefing at the Yongsan Presidential Office, "The Office of the Secretary for Public Conflict Mediation was established for the first time in the history of previous administrations, in accordance with the President's view that an organization is needed to play a mediating role in order to identify and resolve social conflicts at an early stage." He added, "The secretary and administrative officers to be selected this time will be responsible for listening to and mediating conflicts of interest that arise during the implementation of policies or projects aimed at fostering coexistence, integration, and a trustworthy society."

He further stated, "This recruitment is intended to meet public expectations for a fair and transparent hiring process for high-level positions."

Applicants will be evaluated based on their previous experience in conflict mediation, career background, self-introduction letter, and work plan. Jeon said, "We will thoroughly review how candidates have resolved conflicts in the field," and added, "The secretary will be recruited through an intensive interview focused on specific cases of conflict resolution."
