Gongju City, South Chungcheong Province, announced on the 18th that the first Gongju Night Beer Festival, held at Geumgang Singwan Park from the 15th to the 17th, concluded successfully.
This festival, a new summer tourism content directly planned by Gongju City, offered visitors a special summer night with a variety of beers, food, and performances set against the backdrop of the Geumgang riverside night view.
From the opening day, the festival site was packed with people. Long lines formed in front of the beer booths and food trucks as visitors gathered to enjoy a variety of beers in the cool river breeze, bringing renewed vitality to nearby businesses as well.
The water play zone for families, daily live performances, and citizen participation events all received enthusiastic responses each day.
In particular, on the day before the festival, August 14, the Mnet "National Sparkling Tour" K-pop concert was held, featuring Monsta X. Fans from across the country filled the venue early, further heightening the festival atmosphere.
Mayor Choi Woncheol stated, "Even though this was the first time, we were able to create enjoyable memories for both citizens and tourists, proving the potential of Gongju's new nighttime tourism brand." He added, "Next year, we will enhance the programs and facilities to further establish this festival as a leading summer night event."
