This special cooling equipment support was part of the "KHNP Emergency Support Project for Climate-Vulnerable Groups," implemented in response to the ongoing heatwave. Ninety households in East Gyeongju identified as energy-vulnerable received cooling bedding sets, with the aim of helping local residents enjoy a healthier and cooler summer.

Jung Wonho, Director of Wolseong Headquarters, stated, "Due to climate change, prolonged heatwaves are causing increasingly serious health issues such as heat-related illnesses every year. I hope this support will help residents who are struggling with the heat to have a safer and cooler summer. We will continue to work with the local community to protect those most vulnerable to climate change."

In addition to this special cooling equipment support, Wolseong Headquarters has also provided proactive and tailored summer assistance, including cooling cost subsidies for 101 registered senior centers in the three towns of East Gyeongju and healthy meals for seniors in celebration of Boknal in August. The organization plans to continue leading efforts to ensure a cool and safe summer for the community by alleviating the impact of the heatwave and spreading warmth throughout the region.
