The Gyeongnam Office of Education has donated 10 million won to the Gyeongnam Community Chest of Korea to assist residents who lost their homes due to the recent heavy rainfall.
On August 4, the Office announced that the donation was organized by its volunteer club, Mindle Association, with all employees voluntarily participating in raising the funds.
This donation will be used to support the stabilization of daily lives and swift recovery for residents affected by the heavy rain, including medical assistance, emergency relief supplies, and restoration of living environments.

Superintendent Park Jonghoon stated, "My heart is heavy thinking about the local residents who have suffered significant damage, first from wildfires earlier this year and now from the heavy rainfall. I hope that the donation, gathered with the sincerity of our educational community, will give someone the courage to stand up again. We will continue to pay attention and provide support so that the affected residents can return to their daily lives as soon as possible."
The Gyeongnam Office of Education has been conducting a fundraising campaign for all offices and schools in the province from July 25 to August 8. The additional donations collected will be delivered in mid-August.
