Shinhan Investment Corp. announced on July 28 that the number of subscribers to its 'Shareholder Benefits Service' offered through the Shinhan SOL Securities MTS has surpassed 20,000 within just six months of the service's launch.
The shareholder benefits service provides preferential treatment to shareholders when they purchase goods or services from companies in which they have invested. This service is designed to return tangible benefits to shareholders and encourage long-term investment. For example, customers who hold shares in Ottogi can receive a 20% discount on food purchases at the Ottogi Mall if their shareholder status is verified.
A representative from Shinhan Investment Corp. explained, "For the first time in Korea, we have established a real-time shareholder verification and online coupon issuance/use system based on stock holdings in customers' accounts, in collaboration with IR Qdus. This allows customers to access shareholder benefits services more conveniently."
After launching the Shinhan SOL Securities application, users can click the 'MY' menu in the upper right corner, enter the 'Shareholder Benefits' tab, and agree to the terms and conditions. Their shareholder status will then be automatically verified, and they can immediately use coupons and access brand stores. In particular, the benefits that each user is eligible for are displayed in real time according to their holdings.
Lim Hyuk, Head of Wealth Management Sales Group at Shinhan Investment Corp., stated, "The shareholder benefits service, which provides everyday perks for shareholders, is becoming familiar to our customers. We plan to continue expanding the service by incorporating ideas such as enhancing shareholder rights and linking with eco-friendly and social contribution initiatives."
