From June to August, Park is visiting seven affiliated institutions across the country as part of on-site safety management efforts, checking their readiness for heatwave conditions and directing preemptive measures to prevent heat-related illnesses.

In particular, he called for special attention and thorough preparations for groups vulnerable to heatwaves, including 3,500 children at 37 directly operated daycare centers, 6,200 patients at 11 hospitals run by the agency, and workers at construction sites.

On July 11, Park visited a daycare center in Siheung, Gyeonggi Province, where he emphasized practical measures to prevent heat-related illnesses, such as maintaining a proper indoor temperature, ensuring children drink enough water, and taking extra care during outdoor activities so that children can stay healthy even in the heat.

He expressed the agency's commitment to actively support children, the leaders of the next generation, so they can grow up healthy despite the heat.

On the previous day, July 10, he conducted a realistic emergency rescue drill at the construction site of the new Ulsan Industrial Accident Public Hospital, ensuring that workers can receive a swift and systematic response in the event of sudden heat-related illnesses.

On the same day, near Yeoksam Station in Seoul, the agency also held a street campaign to promote industrial accident and employment insurance enrollment among labor providers, such as platform workers, by distributing cold drinks and cooling sleeves to delivery riders exhausted from the ongoing heatwave.

Park stated, "We will make every proactive effort to minimize damage from this summer's heatwave and ensure that all members can spend the summer in good health and safety," adding, "We will pay particular attention to the safety of vulnerable groups and on-site workers who are easily exposed to heatwaves."

This year, as the agency marks its 30th anniversary, it has established the Safety and Ethics Management Headquarters as its primary division, reflecting its management philosophy of making safety, health, and ethical management the highest priorities. Since May, the organization has been operating with the goals of 'ZERO safety accidents for the public, ZERO serious accidents among employees.'

In addition, the agency announced plans to continue its efforts to ensure everyone can enjoy a safe summer through the 'Healthy Summer, Safe Worksite' campaign, which will run through August.
