This agreement was arranged to foster practical security talent and enhance response capabilities at the regional level, as cyberattacks are becoming increasingly sophisticated.

The signing ceremony, held on July 22 at Dong-A University's Bumin Campus, was attended by President Lee Haewoo, President Kim Kyunghwan, President Kwon Myungho, and the head of the National Intelligence Service branch, who discussed ways to strengthen regional security capabilities.

Going forward, the four organizations plan to cooperate in building educational and training infrastructure, developing real-time cyberattack response simulations, creating educational content based on the latest hacking scenarios, operating industry-academia-government collaborative security expert training programs, and supporting the commercialization of security technologies and the fostering of startups.

Lee Haewoo, President of Dong-A University, stated, "This agreement marks the starting point for the BooUlGyeong region to become a core hub of cybersecurity in Korea," adding, "We will contribute to the nation and local communities by creating a practical, security-centered ecosystem where education, research, and industry are organically integrated."
