On July 23, Google held its annual event, 'Google Marketing Live 2025,' where it shared next-generation advertising strategies based on artificial intelligence (AI) and highlighted major domestic brand case studies.

The event took place at the Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas Hotel under the theme "Where Discovery and Decision Happen." Approximately 1,000 digital marketing industry professionals attended both online and offline.

Google pointed out that consumers no longer follow the linear marketing approach of 'awareness-consideration-purchase.' Instead, the company explained that consumers now exhibit complex behaviors: they search for information seamlessly across numerous digital touchpoints, scroll through social feeds for inspiration, and instantly shop for products discovered while streaming content from trusted creators.

Citing research from the global market research firm Ipsos, Google stated that 76% of Korean consumers use Google and YouTube daily, and more than half (52%) of people in their 20s utilize the Google ecosystem throughout the entire process from product discovery to purchase.

Google introduced the 'AI Power Pack' as a solution to maximize advertising performance. With a single click, Google AI automatically improves targeting and creative elements of search campaigns, and is optimized to generate new demand and drive purchases from potential customers.

As successful domestic examples of the AI Power Pack, Google cited Samsung Electronics and DB Insurance. Samsung Electronics reportedly increased sales on its direct sales channel, 'Samsung.com,' by 1.8 times and improved advertising return on ad spend (ROAS) by 1.4 times through the Performance Max campaign, which is part of the AI Power Pack. DB Insurance has achieved increased digital ad exposure and new customer acquisition through campaigns such as YouTube Shorts and Connected TV QR code campaigns.

Kim Kyunghoon, President of Google Korea, said, "Google has gone beyond simply helping to create better ads," adding, "Google and YouTube will be the best partners for domestic companies, providing industry-leading AI technology and full support to help them grow using AI."
