This campaign was organized with the aim of fostering a culture of consideration and respect both inside and outside of schools. It is conducted in a relay format, where each city, county, and educational community in the province voluntarily participates and nominates the 'next participant.'
Previously nominated by Bang Sehwan, mayor of Gwangju City, Mayor Lee joined the campaign and, on this day, took a photo delivering a message of mutual respect in his office at Hanam City Hall, reflecting on the significance of the campaign.
Mayor Lee stated, "Sincere respect is the starting point of all learning and is the force that makes schools and communities warmer places." He added, "I hope this campaign will serve as an opportunity to spread a culture of respect among not only students, parents, and school staff, but also all citizens."
Hanam City has continuously listened to voices from the school field through various collaborations connecting education and administration. This campaign is also significant as a 'link of respect' created jointly by the educational community and the local government.
Mayor Lee Hyunjae nominated Kim Sungje, mayor of Uiwang City, as the next participant in the relay.
Meanwhile, Hanam City plans to continue active solidarity and cooperation in order to foster an educational environment where respect and empathy are alive and thriving.
