This council meeting was attended by representatives from Gyeonggi-do, the Northern Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education, the Northern Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Yangju Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Kyungbok University, Kyungmin University, as well as officials from companies, affiliated organizations, educational institutions, and related agencies in northern Gyeonggi. They shared updates on the progress of the Northern Specialized Job Matching Package Project during the first half of the year, provided advice on project operations, and discussed operational plans for the second half of the year.

The 'Northern Specialized Job Matching Package Project' is a customized employment support program that connects young talent with local companies, reflecting the industrial demand and characteristics of the northern Gyeonggi region. The Foundation is operating a council for field-oriented job matching and public-private-industry-academia consultation to increase satisfaction among both companies and job seekers and to ensure the successful operation of the project.

During the meeting, participants discussed expanding the target group for job experience opportunities to include young people of various ages and educational backgrounds, such as graduates of specialized high schools and junior colleges. They also exchanged opinions on ways to support career transitions for those already employed.

Additionally, there was a multifaceted exchange of ideas aimed at improving the effectiveness of project operations, including adjustments to the schedule and venue for the offline job fair in the second half of the year, additional and rolling recruitment schedules, and enhancements to the company selection process.

Previously, in April, the Foundation selected 28 companies from the northern region to participate in the Northern Specialized Job Matching Package Project and has been sequentially producing company introduction videos and promotional materials. In the second half of the year, the Foundation plans to fully implement the project, including offline job fairs and youth internship matching.

Park Jongman, Director of the Northern Business Headquarters at the Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation, stated, "Through the council, we will seek efficient ways to operate the Northern Specialized Job Matching Package Project and, based on expert advice, create effective job models linked to the local community."
