June Lecture of Humanities Empathy Academy

Gijang County (Governor Jung Jongbok) will host a lecture as part of the 'Gijang Humanities Empathy Academy' on June 26 at 7:00 p.m. at the Sodubang Children's Theater in Jeonggwan Library, featuring architect Yoo Hyunjun as the guest speaker.
This lecture, titled "Reading Korea Through Spaces," is a humanities event that explores changes in people and society within urban spaces from the perspective of an architect.
Architect Yoo Hyunjun is widely known as the host of the YouTube channel 'Sherlock Hyunjun' and has gained attention as a popular lecturer for his unique perspective and approachable speaking style.
Professor Yoo is currently a professor in the Department of Architecture at Yonsei University and the CEO of Yoo Hyunjun & Partners. He is also recognized as a bestselling author with works such as "The Future of Space" and "Spaces Created by Space."
He has actively communicated with the public through various television programs, including tvN's "Alssulsinjab 2," "Naked World History," and SBS's "My Fantasy House." In 2025, he was also recognized for his academic achievements by receiving the Haedong Award from the National Academy of Engineering of Korea.
This lecture is open to all Gijang residents free of charge, and registration will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis through the Gijang County Lifelong Learning website starting at 9:00 a.m. on June 12.
An official from Gijang County stated, "This Humanities Empathy Academy will be a meaningful opportunity to shed new light on the relationship between urban spaces and people," and added, "We hope for the active interest and participation of our residents."
