This agreement was established to strengthen the AI digital competencies and expertise of both prospective and current teachers as teacher training institutions. It also seeks to jointly promote an innovative education system and cooperation framework for education, research, and the exchange of human and material resources.
Through this multilateral agreement involving four institutions, the parties pledged to: develop and operate curricular and extracurricular programs for prospective teachers; plan and implement retraining and training programs for current teachers; support the enhancement of educators' teaching and research capabilities; and host academic exchanges, joint research, seminars, and workshops.
Kim Jeonghee, Dean of the College of Education, stated, "Gyeongnam National University has been leading the digital transformation of the local industry and, based on this, is also challenging for the official designation in the Glocal University 30 project this year. The university's excellent infrastructure and innovative capacity will make a significant contribution to equipping teachers with AI digital competencies in collaboration with Silla University as we prepare for the digital transformation era."
