On June 12, Connectwave, a company specializing in e-commerce, announced that its automotive information service, Danawa Automobile, has added a new "Purchase Cost Comparison" feature to its new car quotation service. This feature allows users to compare the total costs incurred by different purchase methods.

Since 2013, Danawa Automobile has been offering a new car quotation service that includes options such as vehicle features and discount conditions. Last year, the service provided over 150,000 new car quotations, achieving a high usage rate.

The newly added "Purchase Cost Comparison" service allows users to compare, at a glance, the costs incurred from delivery to ownership based on various new car purchase methods, including lump-sum payment, installment, rental, and lease.

In particular, the service goes beyond simple delivery price comparisons by systematically analyzing and providing the total cost of ownership (TCO), which includes not only the purchase price but also the maintenance and ownership costs incurred after purchasing the vehicle. This enables buyers to select the most suitable purchase method according to their budget and usage plans.

For example, acquisition tax and delivery fees incurred at the time of vehicle delivery are only reflected in lump-sum and installment purchase conditions. For rental and lease purchase conditions, these costs are included in the monthly fee and are therefore not listed separately. In addition, insurance premiums and automobile taxes incurred during ownership are not reflected in rental purchase conditions.

A representative from Danawa Automobile stated, "Purchasing a vehicle is an important consumer decision that requires considering not only the price but also long-term maintenance and operating costs," and added, "With this new purchase cost comparison service, we aim to propose the optimal purchase method tailored to each user's situation, thereby significantly enhancing practical convenience for buyers."
