On June 12, Dong-A Pharmaceutical announced the simultaneous launch of Magrangbi Pidoshot Liquid and Pidolex Soft Capsules, both combination products containing Pidosan Magnesium.
Pidosan Magnesium is an organic magnesium salt in chelate form, characterized by superior absorption and bioavailability in the body compared to other inorganic and organic magnesium salts. It is also effective in enhancing magnesium transport across the blood-brain barrier (BBB), and has been shown to help reduce headaches and migraines. As a result, it is widely used as a pharmaceutical ingredient in countries such as France, Italy, and the United States.
The liquid-type Magrangbi Pidoshot Liquid contains 3,462.5 mg of Pidosan Magnesium (equivalent to 300 mg of magnesium) per bottle. It also includes three types of vitamin B and taurine, which may help alleviate physical fatigue, reduced stamina, and muscle cramps caused by magnesium deficiency. The liquid form enables rapid absorption, and the product is designed for convenience with a once-daily 20 ml bottle dosage.
The soft capsule-type Magrangbi Pidolex Soft Capsules contain three types of magnesium?two organic salts (Pidosan Magnesium and Magnesium Aspartate) and one inorganic salt (Magnesium Oxide)?as well as five types of vitamin B, vitamin E, gamma oryzanol, and a total of ten combined vitamins and minerals. This combination may help relieve symptoms of neuralgia, myalgia, and arthralgia. In particular, a composition containing both Pidosan Magnesium and vitamin B1 (a mixture of two or more substances in a specific ratio) has been filed for a domestic patent, further enhancing the credibility of its effectiveness. Taking two capsules per day provides more than the recommended daily intake of magnesium.
Dong-A Pharmaceutical's Magrangbi Pidoshot Liquid and Pidolex Soft Capsules are over-the-counter drugs available at local pharmacies.
A Dong-A Pharmaceutical representative stated, "Given the modern lifestyle, taking magnesium has become a necessity rather than a choice," and added, "We hope that the Magrangbi brand, based on the differently absorbed Pidosan Magnesium combination, will establish itself as the optimal alternative in the OTC magnesium combination market."
