Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi Social Economy Center are recruiting 120 social economy organizations from within the province to participate in the '2025 Gyeonggi-do Social Economy Expo,' which will be held in Suwon this September. Applications are open until June 20.

Eligible applicants include social enterprises, cooperatives, village enterprises, and self-support enterprises located in the province. Selected participants will be provided with exhibition booths to showcase their products and services, as well as opportunities for both online and offline promotion, and networking between consumers and businesses.

This year’s expo, which follows last year’s event, will be held under the slogan "A Better World through Social Economy for People" at Suwon Convention Center for two days from September 12 to 13.

Main programs include a conference on the roles and challenges of the social economy, an open innovation support (open innovation) business briefing, business meetings, and a youth idea competition.

In addition, there will be city and county-linked programs that allow for the organization of social economy activation events, such as local forums and seminars. Cities and counties wishing to participate must submit an application via official document by June 25.

Jung Sik Gong, Director of the Social Innovation Economy Bureau of Gyeonggi Province, said, "The social economy is not merely an economic activity, but an economy centered on values that connect people with one another," and added, "I hope the Social Economy Expo becomes a platform for solidarity where policy, the field, and residents of the province are all connected."
