On the afternoon of May 27, one week before the 21st presidential election, officials from the National Election Commission are checking overseas ballots that have been returned to Korea at the international mail logistics center of Incheon International Airport. The National Election Commission, in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Korea Post, is checking and sorting overseas ballots that have been returned to Korea via diplomatic pouches from 223 overseas polling stations in 118 countries, and sending them to district, city, and county election commissions.
