Jangsu County to Close Applications for 'Forestry Direct Payment' by the 30th

Jangsu County in North Jeolla Province announced that applications and registrations for this year's Forestry and Forest Public Direct Payment (hereinafter referred to as "Forestry Direct Payment") will close on the 30th.

According to the county on April 24, the Forestry Direct Payment system provides direct payments to forestry workers who meet certain qualifications and comply with requirements in forest lands registered as forestry management entities between April 1, 2019 and September 30, 2022.


Applicants must have been engaged in forestry work for more than one year, and for at least 60 days per year, in forest lands registered as agricultural management entities within the specified period.


Applications are submitted by visiting the town or township office with jurisdiction over the forest land and submitting a registration application form along with relevant documents such as forestry performance records and forestry work logs.


In particular, for public interest projects related to the applied forest land, performance records can be issued by the Forest Department at the county office.

County Governor Choi Hunsik said, "I hope that all eligible forestry workers will complete their applications by the 30th so that no one misses out on receiving the direct payment due to missing the deadline, and that they will be compensated for their contributions to enhancing the public functions of forestry and forests."
