NH Nonghyup Life Insurance announced on the 8th that it signed a donation agreement (MOU) with the Nonghyup Foundation for the promotion of welfare for farmers at the Nonghyup Foundation building in Yeouido on the 7th.

This agreement was prepared to promote welfare support projects for farmers through cooperation with the Nonghyup Foundation, a public interest foundation related to agriculture, and to practice the spirit of ‘Dongjugongje (同舟共濟)’, which means crossing the river together in the same boat.
NH Nonghyup Life Insurance will establish a donation fund up to 1 billion KRW for sales of the comprehensive long-term care insurance product ‘Dongjugongje Care安心NH Long-term Care Insurance (Non-participating)’, scheduled to be launched on the 14th, and the ‘Dongjugongje Lifetime Care Insurance’, scheduled for release in July, through sales by agricultural cooperatives. They plan to provide 10% of the monthly premium equivalent of the first-year sales as a donation to the Nonghyup Foundation. The donation will be used for welfare projects such as farm assistance programs to support elderly farmers and struggling farming households in rural areas.
Park Byung-hee, CEO of NH Nonghyup Life Insurance, said, “It is a time when practical support for farmers is needed in line with the increasing demand for long-term care and nursing in rural areas,” adding, “We hope this agreement will empower farmers and serve as an opportunity to fulfill NH Nonghyup Life Insurance’s social responsibility.”
The Nonghyup Foundation is a non-profit organization carrying out various public interest projects for rural areas and farmers. Both organizations plan to contribute to improving the quality of life for farmers through continuous cooperation in the future.
