In the men's golf weekly world rankings announced on the 7th (local time), he earned 2.94 points, jumping 27 spots from 49th last week. He accumulated points by winning the Valero Texas Open (total prize money $9.5 million) on the PGA Tour, held at TPC San Antonio (par 72, 7,438 yards) in San Antonio, Texas, USA, by 3 strokes (9 under par 279). This is his 4th PGA Tour win in 1 year and 9 months since the major tournament The Open in July 2023, with a winner's prize of $1.71 million (about 2.5 billion KRW).


There were no changes in the top ranks. Scottie Scheffler (USA), Rory McIlroy (Northern Ireland), Xander Schauffele, Collin Morikawa (both USA), and Ludvig ?berg (Sweden) maintained the top 5. For Korea, Im Sung-jae is 25th, Kim Joo-hyung 33rd, An Byeong-hun 35th, and Kim Si-woo is ranked 69th.
