Groceries and Daily Necessities Provided
Hampyeong County in Jeonnam supported vulnerable groups through the '369 Happiness Bundle Sharing Project,' with participation from the local social security council, businesses, and residents. Provided by Hampyeong County, Jeonnam
Hampyeong County, Jeollanam-do, announced on the 19th that local residents, including the Community Social Security Council and local businesses, participated in the '369 Happiness Bundle Sharing Project' to support vulnerable groups.
The '369 Happiness Bundle Sharing Project' is a regional special project jointly run by Hampyeong-eup and the Community Social Security Council. It delivers various groceries and daily necessities, sponsored by 19 businesses in Hampyeong-eup, to marginalized residents in the community. This year, the project will be carried out three times, in March, June, and September.
The participating businesses are 19 stores in the town, including Geumsong Sikyuk Restaurant, Nonghyup Hanaro Mart, Maeil Food, Moran Jeong, Moa Mart, Miga 1beonji, Baekma Hoegwan, Seonyu Restaurant, Sinsun Tteok Mill, Okcheon Food, Woori Tteok Mill, Eunha Restaurant, Jalmanjin Bread, Jeonggyeong Bokgung, Jungang Tteok Mill, Pungnyeondang, Hanaro Restaurant, Hampyeong Tteokjip, and Haedong Tteok Mill.
For this project, Hampyeong-eup collected the donated goods, and members of the Community Social Security Council prepared the happiness bundles. Afterwards, the Village Leaders' Council personally delivered them to 43 underprivileged households, joining hands to extend the warmth of love.
Kim Haenggu, the private chairperson of the Community Social Security Council, said, "I hope that the bundles and side dishes filled with happiness and health will help improve the well-being of seniors and vulnerable groups," and added, "We ask for continued interest and participation from local businesses so that more diverse items can be provided to neighbors in need."
Jeong Hwaja, head of Hampyeong-eup, said, "I would like to thank the council members and village leaders who actively participated in the first welfare project of the Community Social Security Council this year," and added, "We will do our best to spread the culture of sharing in the community by cooperating with the council throughout the year."
