Millie's Library Launches Audio Content
"Taste Playlist"
A Talk Show Featuring Books and Taste Keywords
Reading platform Millie's Library announced on the 19th the release of a new concept original audio content called 'Taste Playlist,' which facilitates conversations through books and music.
'Taste Playlist' features four artists from various fields who discuss books and taste keywords they personally selected. There is also a segment where they read aloud passages from the books.
The first guest is Jung Jae-hyung, a popular comedian and YouTuber from the YouTube channel 'Pisik University.' He chose the economic book 'B-Jury Economics,' which interprets recent economic issues and trends through the sensibility of Generation Z, and shared his thoughts.
The second guest, singer-songwriter Lee Seung-yoon, gained recognition as the winner of 'Sing Again - Unknown Singer Competition' and is rapidly expanding his fan base with his musical sensibility and sincerity. Lee Seung-yoon introduced 'Rashomon,' a work he first encountered through the film and has been deeply engrossed in for six months. He also suggested music that complements the book, receiving great responses.
The final guest, singer-songwriter So Soo-bin, is an artist attracting attention from women in their 20s and 30s with her sweet voice. So Soo-bin introduced the book 'I Threw It Away Today Because I Was Anxious,' which connects with her lifestyle through her unique sweet image and honest charm.
A behind-the-scenes video of the 'Taste Playlist' recording session was released on Millie's Library's YouTube channel.
Lee Sung-ho, head of the Reading Department at Millie's Library, said, "Through this 'Taste Playlist,' we aim to expand the reading experience beyond simply reading books to sharing personal tastes through books as a medium. Millie's Library will continue to pioneer an unprecedented reading life platform era by expanding the realm of reading and presenting a new lifestyle."
