KORAIL Gwangju Headquarters (Director Kim Youngjin) announced on the 19th that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Wando-gun, Jeollanam-do to promote rail and regional tourism in celebration of the '2025 Visit Wando Year'.

Under this agreement, the two organizations will establish an efficient cooperation system in various fields, including the development and promotion of tourism products linked to railways, and providing convenience for travelers using train travel packages.

They plan to actively seek out travel packages that combine Wando-gun's ongoing marine healing industry with railway services, enabling tourists from the metropolitan area to experience marine healing in the pristine natural environment of Wando through KTX connections.

Kim Youngjin, Director of KORAIL Gwangju Headquarters, said, "We will work closely with Wando-gun to provide railway passengers with a unique tourism experience that connects Wando-gun's tourism infrastructure and railways, so that both the region and the railway can grow together."
