Firing Shots and Setting Fires with 'Resistance' Graffiti... Tesla Attacked Again in the US

Another fire broke out in Tesla cars lined up in front of a Tesla dealership in Las Vegas, USA. CCTV footage captured a person dressed in black shooting multiple Tesla cars, setting them on fire, and fleeing the scene.

On the 18th (local time), CNN reported that the FBI is investigating the incident as a possible act of terrorism.

At a press conference that day, Doricoren, assistant sheriff of the Las Vegas Police Department, described it as a "targeted attack on Tesla." According to Coren, several calls were received around 2:45 a.m. reporting a fire at the Tesla dealership. He stated, "Officers at the scene confirmed several vehicles on fire and the word 'resistance' spray-painted on the dealership's front door."

According to the police, CCTV footage shows a person dressed in black shooting at the cars and setting two of them on fire with Molotov cocktails. An unexploded Molotov cocktail was found inside a third car, and evidence is currently being investigated. No injuries have been reported.

Recently, fires have occurred at Tesla showrooms, charging stations, and vehicles across the United States, prompting police investigations. On the 3rd, seven charging stations at a shopping mall outside Boston caught fire. Six protesters were arrested within five days. In Colorado, a woman was charged with throwing Molotov cocktails and damaging Tesla vehicles and showrooms.

Elon Musk, Tesla CEO, posted on X (formerly Twitter), "Tesla only makes electric cars and has done nothing to deserve such attacks."

Last week, U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi announced an investigation into the incidents and emphasized cracking down on vandalism of Tesla vehicles and showrooms. She warned the perpetrators, saying, "If you plan to go to a Tesla dealership, you should be careful," and "We will track you down and find out who you are."

CNN noted, "Although there were no casualties from the vandalism, it poses potential financial problems for Tesla," pointing out that Tesla has faced declining sales since the Trump administration. Tesla's recent sales have plummeted. While overall electric vehicle sales in Europe surged 34% in January, Tesla's sales dropped by 50%. According to Reuters, Tesla's sales in China have also declined for two consecutive months this year.
