Goyang City to Create Venture Business Growth Platform in Baekseok Office Building

Establishing a Base for Attracting Companies through a Venture Company Cluster Facility
From Startup to Unicorn... Accelerating Venture Company Growth

Goyang Special City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Dong-hwan) announced on the 7th that it plans to utilize the Baekseok Office Building, owned by the city, as a venture company cluster facility where venture and startup companies can move in.

This facility, with a total floor area of approximately 16,000㎡, will be arranged as a space for promising venture companies in future growth industries such as bio-medical, digital media, IT, and software.


It will be equipped with various startup support infrastructures, including open smart offices, co-working spaces, shared workrooms, common equipment rooms, and digital content production and sharing areas.


In particular, the city plans to actively discover and nurture promising companies with innovative technologies by providing customized support according to the growth stages of resident companies, and will actively support their growth into unicorn companies by linking with industrial hubs within the Ilsan Technovalley and the Free Economic Zone in the future.


A Goyang Special City official said, “Along with the efficient use of public assets, we will systematically support promising venture companies to contribute to sustainable job creation and regional economic revitalization. During the company attraction process, we will comprehensively consider companies’ innovativeness, growth potential, and regional connectivity to ensure that excellent companies can settle here.”
