Hwasun Chonnam National University Hospital (Director Min Jeongjun) announced on the 7th that it recently received an excellent evaluation in the "4th Cycle Acute Care Hospital Accreditation Mid-term On-site Survey" conducted by the Korea Institute for Healthcare Accreditation.


The mid-term on-site survey is an evaluation process in which the Korea Institute for Healthcare Accreditation dispatches three surveyors to accredited medical institutions to check whether they are continuously maintaining patient safety and quality improvement. Accredited medical institutions are inspected on a total of 267 items.


To maintain its accreditation, Hwasun Chonnam National University Hospital has systematically prepared by operating a comprehensive countermeasure headquarters led by Vice Director Kang Hocheol, and is making efforts to maintain patient safety and improve the quality of medical care.


Hwasun Chonnam National University Hospital received an excellent evaluation in this mid-term on-site survey. In the overall assessment, the surveyors stated, "The regulations are well established in accordance with accreditation standards, and on-site performance was excellent."


Director Min Jeongjun said, "We will continue to provide trustworthy medical services through activities for medical institution accreditation," and added, "We will not stop striving to become the world's leading cancer specialty hospital and a hospital that respects patients."
