Ulsan Ulju County announced on the 7th that it will make every effort to conduct proactive preventive activities to eradicate illegal activities within the greenbelt area.
According to Ulju County, illegal activities in the greenbelt area frequently occur when people, unaware of the relevant regulations, arbitrarily install facilities such as farm sheds without obtaining permits or filing reports.
Accordingly, Ulju County believes that proactive prevention is more effective than post-incident crackdowns for illegal activities in the greenbelt area, and plans to actively carry out preventive measures such as distributing promotional materials and conducting guidance activities.
The promotional materials will include information on activities that can be conducted without permits or reports within the greenbelt area, procedures for obtaining permits (or filing reports) for activities within the greenbelt area, and measures taken when illegal activities are detected. These materials will be produced and distributed accordingly.
In addition, banners will be posted in areas where resident reports are frequent, in order to carry out guidance activities in parallel.
Despite these preventive efforts, Ulju County plans to issue restoration orders for any illegal activities that are detected. If the restoration orders are not followed, the county will take strong measures such as imposing compulsory fines and filing criminal charges in accordance with relevant laws.
An official from Ulju County stated, "We will make every effort to prevent illegal activities in the greenbelt area through promotional and guidance activities," and urged, "Please familiarize yourself with the relevant regulations and exercise special caution to ensure that no illegal activities occur."
