The Korea Committee for UNICEF (Chairman Jeong Gap-yeong) announced on the 7th that Kim Jong-tae, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tizen Co., Ltd., a functional tea specialty company, donated 50 million won.

Chairman Kim Jong-tae has regularly donated scholarships to various charitable organizations and universities, and for the past 10 years, he has actively shared love by supporting underprivileged children in Haenam, where Tizen's factory is located. This time, he once again donated congratulatory money for his child's wedding to children around the world.

Following this donation, Chairman Kim Jong-tae pledged an additional 100 million won and newly joined the high-value donor group, the 'UNICEF Honors Club.' The entire fund will be used to support the healthy growth of children in developing countries.

Donor Kim Jong-tae said, "I cannot forget the children I met during my recent visits to Kenya, Tanzania, and Zimbabwe. I wanted to give even a small help to children suffering from absolute poverty and poor access to clean water, so I decided to share my son's wedding congratulatory money in this way." He added, "I am grateful to my son, daughter-in-law, and wife who joyfully participated, and I hope this meaningful contribution will be used to protect children's lives."

Jo Mi-jin, Secretary General of the Korea Committee for UNICEF, said, "We deeply respect and thank donor Kim Jong-tae and his family for practicing continuous sharing in their lives. Their generous heart and warm humanity, embracing not only the local community but also children around the world, serve as a great example to many." She added, "The fund will be used valuably to support the healthy growth of children worldwide."
