This year's International Women's Day event was aimed at fostering female talent and strengthening the implementation of the recently revised 'Work-Family Balance System.' To this end, a variety of programs were organized to promote and allow participants to experience support systems related to work-family balance throughout the career life cycle.
Executives and employees, including Hong Jong-seong, the CEO of Deloitte Korea Group, participated in activities such as an online escape room game and photo booth sticker photo sessions to enhance understanding of the system and share related practical cases. In particular, the online escape room game, which involved solving quizzes related to the revised system while completing missions, gained great popularity among younger employees.
As part of the work-family balance system, Deloitte Korea Group has implemented policies for employees with children or those preparing for childbirth, including ▲shortened working hours during pregnancy and childcare periods ▲spousal paternity leave ▲allowance for fetal examination time ▲infertility treatment leave, among others. Flexible work arrangements such as telecommuting and staggered working hours have also been actively introduced.
Additionally, a comprehensive support process has been established to ensure that women can grow fairly as leaders regardless of gender, free from practical constraints such as childbirth and childcare, covering recruitment, development, and promotion.
In particular, through the 'Women’s Committee (D WIN)' launched in 2019, various activities are being conducted, including promotion meetings for female leaders, the 'Asia-Pacific Inspiring Women Program' to nurture female directors as leaders, and the 'Inclusive Leadership Day' for external guest lectures and network building.
CEO Hong Jong-seong stated, "Deloitte is the number one career companion supporting employees' growth, helping all executives and employees to realize their potential and grow based on equal opportunities," and added, "We will continue to show interest and support for the continuous growth of female employees."
