The newly prepared community space is a place where visitors can stay in a relaxed atmosphere to read, rest, and enjoy conversations. A simple dining area has also been provided to enhance the convenience of library users.

“Cafe Daylight,” operated by senior baristas, has also opened here. Cafe Daylight is a store run by the Gwangmyeong Senior Club, the dedicated senior job agency in Gwangmyeong City. It is a senior employment creation project where elderly people directly prepare and sell beverages at the cafe.

The community space operates from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., and the cafe operates from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. It is closed every Monday and on legal holidays.

Park Seung-won, mayor of Gwangmyeong City, said, "We will continue to support the library so that it can grow into an open cultural space that serves as the center of the local community."
