The opening of the ‘2025 Korea Garden Industry Expo’ is just 100 days away.

On the 5th, Jinju City in Gyeongnam installed a D-100 countdown electronic display in the lobby of the city hall’s first floor, beginning to create a full-fledged expo atmosphere.

The 2025 Korea Garden Industry Expo will be held under the theme ‘Life with Gardens: Practical Gardens in Daily Life’ for 10 days starting from June 13, taking place around Chojun Park. It will also be linked with the Jinju ‘Hydrangea Festival’ in the Wolasan forest.

This expo plans to showcase practical gardens reflecting modern lifestyles and the latest trends in the garden industry, promoting the spread of garden culture and industrial development through various exhibitions and hands-on events.

The expo will operate an ‘All-in-One Garden Center’ using the indoor gymnasium, creating a multifunctional space for exhibition, sales, education, and information exchange. Diverse programs such as the ‘Everyday Garden Market’ where visitors can purchase plants, materials, and agricultural products; the ‘Korea Garden Show’ featuring domestic and international artists; and the ‘International Conference’ discussing global garden trends will be held. Additionally, character gardens and flower clusters for family visitors will also be presented.

Mayor Cho Gyu-il said, “With the lighting of the D-100 countdown display, we have officially started preparations for the expo,” adding, “We will do our best to ensure this expo not only revitalizes garden culture and industry but also serves as a stepping stone for Jinju City to leap forward as a garden city.”

The expo will be held until 10 p.m. every night to allow visitors to enjoy the beauty of gardens both day and night, providing a special opportunity to experience gardens in all their splendor. Jinju City plans to successfully host the ‘2025 Korea Garden Industry Expo,’ establish the foundation for the designation of ‘Wolasan Provincial Garden’ and the promotion to a national garden, and build a new model of a ‘city within a garden’ beyond just a ‘garden city.’
