Emart announced on the 6th that it will hold a major overseas food discount event through the 'Peacock, No Brand Global Gourmet Festival' from the 7th to the 13th. Peacock and No Brand are private brands (PB) operated by Emart.
First, Peacock selected 21 representative global foods recognized for their taste and quality, and offers a 20% discount on popular products when accumulating Shinsegae points. Representative products include 'Peacock Vietnam Rice Noodles (404g),' which captures the authentic taste of Vietnam with coriander-flavored broth, and the Italian-style 'Peacock Mozzarella Beef Lasagna (350g),' a harmonious blend of rich beef and savory cheese, both sold at 7,984 KRW and 4,784 KRW respectively, reflecting a 20% discount from the regular price.
The Spanish-style 'Peacock Gambas al Ajillo Spicy (280g),' featuring a generous amount of shrimp and garlic fried in olive oil, and the 'Peacock Jackson Pizza Chicago Pepperoni (535g),' which has a high cheese content, are also offered at 7,984 KRW each, a 20% discount from the regular price.
Additionally, the Italian direct-sourced 'Peacock Truffle Sauce (90g),' containing 5% truffle for a luxurious and rich aroma, is available at a 20% discount, allowing customers to purchase overseas sauces at affordable prices.
Moreover, six overseas gourmet products, including 'Peacock Beef Stew (400g),' provide discount benefits upon purchase along with e-money that can be used for 14 days starting the next day.
At No Brand, this event introduces unique desserts and snacks from around the world. A representative product, 'No Brand Mango Sticky Rice Spring Roll (275g),' is sold for 3,980 KRW. Mango Sticky Rice Spring Roll is a crispy spring roll version of Thailand’s representative dish mango sticky rice, combining fresh mango and soft glutinous rice.
Also, the 'No Brand Strawberry & Chocolate Wow Tart (280g)' is available for 3,480 KRW. Unlike cereals eaten with cold milk, Wow Tart tastes better when warmed. It can be heated in a microwave or toaster.
Jung Woojin, Emart’s marketing manager, said, "We prepared the Peacock and No Brand Global Gourmet Festival to reduce customers’ food expenses," adding, "It is an opportunity to purchase popular overseas foods from Peacock, known for quality and gourmet taste, and No Brand, which boasts high cost-effectiveness (performance relative to price), at affordable prices."
