Reform New Party Submits Public Interest Report to Election Commission on Lee Jun-seok and Cheon Ha-ram's Alleged Violations of Political Funds Act

On the 4th, the Reform New Party representative Heo Eun-ah's side announced that they submitted a public interest report document regarding allegations of violations of the Political Funds Act against lawmakers Lee Jun-seok and Cheon Ha-ram to the National Election Commission.


The Reform New Party explained that, as a result of an internal investigation, they discovered suspicious circumstances related to violations of the general election campaign materials law, improper expenditures amounting to approximately 55 million KRW by Lee Jun-seok, head of the Reform Research Institute (the party-affiliated research institute), and improper expenditures of about 92 million KRW in policy research support funds paid by the National Assembly Secretariat.


They also stated that the internal investigation found suspicious parts regarding improper monthly expenditures of approximately 11 million KRW for the party website management fees.


The Reform New Party said, "As a party founded to overcome old-fashioned politics, we plan to firmly respond to internal corruption to clarify our identity as a public party."
