The Dongmyeong University Student Council (President Ju-Young Lee, Department of Biomedical Engineering, 3rd year) announced on the 31st that they conducted an inspection of illegal hidden cameras on campus to create a safer campus environment.
This inspection was part of the first campaign, "Creating a Clean School Environment Free of Sexual Crimes," initiated by the newly inaugurated 47th SYNERGY Student Council, reflecting students' opinions.
Before the inspection of illegal hidden cameras on the 23rd, the student council executives discussed the seriousness of digital sexual crimes and agreed to make multifaceted efforts to eradicate sexual crimes.
Nam-Yeon Lee, Director of the Dongmyeong University Human Rights Center, who joined the inspection with the student council, said, "I am pleased that the new student council is actively participating in improving school culture," and added, "We will continue efforts for a healthy campus in cooperation with the student council."
