Glocal Leader Program Held in Shanghai, China
Students Experience Chinese History and Culture through Field Trips and Activities
Chonnam National University Yeosu Campus conducted the program "Glocal Leader, Finding the Way in World History" in Shanghai, China, from the 14th to the 19th, lasting 3 nights and 4 days. Provided by Chonnam National University
Chonnam National University Yeosu Campus announced on the 21st that it held the "Glocal Leader: Finding the Path in World History" program in Shanghai, China, from the 14th to the 19th for a 3-night, 4-day period.
A total of 22 students participated in this program. On the first day of the tour, they visited cultural heritage sites in Shanghai, including Yuyuan (traditional Chinese garden), the Provisional Government Building of Korea in Shanghai, Xintiandi (a small Europe within Shanghai), and took a cruise on the Huangpu River.
On the second day, they enjoyed the natural scenery of China by taking a cruise on West Lake (UNESCO World Heritage site) and visiting Huagang Garden. They also experienced traditional Chinese culture by watching the Songcheng Performance Show.
On the third day, they visited Zhujiajiao, Fangsheng Bridge, Shanghai Foreign Language High School, and Shanghai Jiao Tong University to learn about the Chinese education system and university culture. They also experienced local life and culture in Shanghai by visiting the Oriental Pearl Tower Observatory and History Museum, as well as Nanjing Road.
Lee Changmoon, Director of Academic Affairs, said, "Through this program, students were able to gain a deep understanding of Chinese history and culture," and added, "We will continue to provide support so that they can grow into globally competitive talents with international experience."
