Guro-gu Holds 'Seolnal Gift Package Sharing' Presentation Ceremony

Gift Packages Delivered to 510 Marginalized Households in the Community

Guro-gu Holds 'Seolnal Gift Package Sharing' Presentation Ceremony

On the 20th, Guro-gu announced that it held a 'Seolnal Gift Package Sharing' delivery ceremony for 510 underprivileged households in the area.

This 'Seolnal Gift Package Sharing' delivery ceremony was organized and conducted by the Guro-gu Sharing Network (Guro-gu, Guro Hope Welfare Foundation, Seoul Social Welfare Community Chest) to share warm affection with marginalized neighbors ahead of Seolnal and to create a festive atmosphere where everyone can come together.

The recipients were a total of 510 households, including low-income vulnerable groups such as elderly living alone without family, single-person households of youth and middle-aged adults, and crisis households requiring management.

The gift packages were composed of nine food items including rice cake soup rice cakes, brown rice nurungji (scorched rice), perilla leaves, ramen, and jangjorim (soy-braised beef), prepared to meet the practical needs of the underprivileged with basic food ingredients necessary for the holiday and easy-to-eat items.

On the day, after holding the goods delivery ceremony at the district office, the gift packages were distributed to each neighborhood community service center.

The neighborhood community service centers plan to distribute the support items according to schedules set by region. In particular, for households with mobility difficulties, welfare planners and visiting nurses will visit homes directly to check on their well-being and deliver the items, continuing communication with residents.

A Guro-gu official stated, “We hope that through this Seolnal Gift Package Sharing, marginalized neighbors can feel a somewhat warmer holiday atmosphere,” and added, “We will continue to do our best to strengthen the community-centered welfare delivery system so that more neighbors can be helped.”
