No Collection on the 29th and 30th
Providing Pleasant Sanitation Services
Guri City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Kyung-hyun) announced on the 20th that it will implement a waste collection management plan from the 27th, designated as a temporary holiday, until the last day of the holiday on the 30th, so that citizens can spend the Lunar New Year holiday in a clean and pleasant environment.
In preparation for the increase in household waste before and after the holiday, Guri City plans to promote waste collection schedules, operate special situation teams and mobile teams during the holiday period, and promote proper waste separation and reduction, dividing tasks by sector to ensure that households can dispose of waste without inconvenience.
Except for Lunar New Year’s Day, emergency duty will be assigned to street cleaning sanitation workers for cleaning major roads to create a clean and pleasant urban environment.
Household waste collection will proceed as usual on the 27th and 28th, but there will be no collection on Lunar New Year’s Day, the 29th, and the following day, the 30th, so households should refer to the schedule when disposing of waste.
Mayor Baek Kyung-hyun of Guri City said, “To create a clean and pleasant holiday atmosphere, we will do our best to carry out waste collection smoothly during the Lunar New Year holiday to prevent any inconvenience to citizens,” and added, “We ask citizens to check the waste collection days in advance and actively participate in waste reduction by following proper disposal methods.”
