Ottogi Promotes Jin Ramen in the US... Participates in Winter Fancy Food Show

Renewed Packaging Highlights 'JIN' English Brand Name
"We Will Pursue Aggressive Overseas Expansion"

Ottogi participated in the United States' largest food expo, the '2025 Winter Fancy Food Show,' held in Las Vegas from the 19th to the 21st of this month, promoting its flagship products such as Jin Ramen.

The 'Fancy Food Show,' a global food expo held every summer and winter, is hosted by the Specialty Food Association (SFA) of the United States, which consists of market analysts, food researchers, and renowned chefs. This year, over 1,000 companies are participating, showcasing products with differentiated value by implementing new flavors such as fresh combination snacking and various sauces using chili, which are considered food industry trends this year.

At this year's Fancy Food Show, Ottogi unveiled a new export package for Jin Ramen. The strategy is to solidify its leading position as a representative K-ramen and enhance visual recognition by simplifying the design. In particular, the brand identity is maintained while adding freshness by applying the ‘OTOKI’ English logo changed last year and strengthening the signature color to appeal more newly to overseas consumers.

First, the English word ‘JIN’ was prominently emphasized on the front to make it easy for foreigners to remember. The flavor types, such as mild and spicy, were labeled in each country's language, and a mascot was used to add friendliness. Additionally, the unique noodle texture of Jin Ramen was vividly expressed through sizzle (cooking example) images to highlight its strengths. This packaging is applied to export packages for each country, including the United States, and following the MUI Halal certification obtained in Vietnam at the end of last year, Ottogi plans to continue aggressive moves with the new packaging in halal markets such as Indonesia this year.

Along with Jin Ramen, the globally steady-selling Bodeul Bodeul Cheese Ramen also attracted attention with its renewed packaging. Bodeul Bodeul Cheese Ramen is an export-only product that Ottogi sells in about 39 countries including the United States, China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. Thanks to its popularity overseas, Ottogi introduced two types of export stir-fried noodles in the United States in April 2022 and China in October 2023. The renewed cheese ramen packaging, which was previewed earlier, will strengthen branding alongside Jin Ramen mainly in the United States during the first half of this year.

An Ottogi official said, "It is meaningful to participate in the U.S. food expo, which concentrates global food trends, to convey the joy that food brings through each product and to introduce the new packaging of Jin Ramen, the representative K-ramen." He added, "We will continue to strive for more active overseas expansion and strengthen communication with overseas consumers."
