Hanwha Asset Management's 'Hanwha MAGA 2.0 Target Conversion Fund'... Sold Out 50 Billion KRW in 8 Business Days

The ‘Hanwha MAGA 2.0 Target Conversion Type’ fund, which raised capital ahead of the inauguration of U.S. President Trump scheduled for the 20th, recorded approximately 52.1 billion KRW in assets under management. Based on the successful fundraising of this first early-closed ‘Hanwha MAGA 2.0 Target Conversion Type’ fund, Hanwha Asset Management plans to establish the 2nd and 3rd ‘Hanwha MAGA 2.0 Target Conversion Type’ funds.

Choi Young-jin, Head of Strategic Business Division at Hanwha Asset Management, said, “At the time just before President Trump’s inauguration, we proactively planned, raised, and established a fund that meets customers’ needs, proposing a timely product that led to successful fundraising results. Since the fund is directly managed by a top-performing fund manager maintaining top-tier performance within the peer group, we will do our best to achieve the targeted returns.”

The ‘Hanwha MAGA 2.0 Target Conversion Type’ fund is a bond-mixed fund investing approximately 40% in overseas stocks expected to benefit from the Trump administration and about 60% in U.S. short-term Treasury bonds with a duration (average recovery period of invested funds) within 2 years, aiming for a target return of around 7%. After achieving the target return, it converts into stable bond assets such as domestic bond-related funds to minimize return volatility, making it a target conversion type fund.

The fund is directly managed by overseas equity and overseas bond managers with proven track records delivering top-tier performance within the peer group. Wang Seung-mook, Chief Portfolio Manager of ‘Hanwha Heracles’ and Head of Overseas Equity Management Team at Hanwha Asset Management, and Lee Hee-yeon, Chief Portfolio Manager of ‘Hanwha U.S. Interest Rate Customized Solution’ and Manager of the Overseas Bond Management Team, are respectively in charge of the equity and bond segments.
