This guidance and inspection are being carried out to prevent the possibility of excessive increases in personal service fees frequently used by residents, such as restaurants, lodging businesses, bathhouses, beauty salons, and laundries, riding on the rise in consumer prices ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday.

The main inspection items include ▲guidance on fee reductions for businesses with excessive fee increases compared to the inflation rate ▲inspection of price-fixing activities ▲confirmation of compliance with outdoor price display regulations.

Through this guidance and inspection, Cheongdo-gun plans to immediately correct minor violations on-site and take administrative actions according to relevant laws if serious violations are found.

Kim Hasu, the mayor of Cheongdo-gun, said, “Through this guidance and inspection, we will do our best to prevent excessive increases in personal service fees during the Lunar New Year period and improve the quality of food and public hygiene services so that both local residents and visitors returning to their hometowns can have a comfortable and enjoyable holiday.”
