Jinju City Implements Digital Infrastructure Support Project to Improve Small Business Management Environment

Improvement of Business Environment 106 & Digital Infrastructure
Support for 11 Locations... Applications Accepted from the 10th

Jinju City in Gyeongnam Province will accept applications starting from the 10th for the ‘2025 Small Business Small-scale Management Environment Improvement Support Project and Digital Infrastructure Support Project’ aimed at alleviating the management cost burden and strengthening the competitiveness of small business owners.

The Management Environment Improvement Support Project provides support for interior and exterior renovations of business premises, replacement of outdoor signs, restroom improvements, etc. Businesses that have benefited from the project since its implementation in 2018 are excluded from support.

The Digital Infrastructure Support Project supports the purchase of digital devices such as table orders, kiosks, serving robots, and 3D printers. Compared to the previous year, support items have been expanded to include POS devices, 3D curing and washing machines, and kitchen automation equipment. Businesses that have benefited from the project since its first implementation in 2023 are excluded from support.

The support scale includes 106 locations for management environment improvement and 11 locations for digital infrastructure support. The support amount is up to 2 million KRW within 70% of the supply price, and any amount exceeding the support limit and VAT must be borne by the business owner.

The support targets are small business owners who have had a business location in Jinju City and have been operating for more than six months. Selection is made in order of highest scores based on evaluation indicators such as annual sales, business operation period, and store area.

If the operating business is in a life-related industry according to the National Tax Service’s national tax statistics or is a Zero Pay affiliated store, additional points can be awarded. To prioritize support for businesses affected by delayed settlements from Baedal-ui Jinju, additional points will also be given to businesses with delayed settlements as of the end of December 2024.

The application deadline is January 31, and applicants can visit the Jinju City website announcement and submit their applications in person at the Jinju City Job Economy Division, Eup/Myeon offices, or Donghaeng Jeongbo Welfare Centers.

A city official said, “Due to the impact of the economic downturn, the project is being promoted about a month earlier than last year. Since this project is conducted only once a year, we hope that businesses in need of support will be sure to apply within the deadline to receive assistance.”
